Caño Island Biological Reserve unquestionably stands out as the best place for snorkeling and scuba diving on the South Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. It is also ranked by many divers as the second-best place in our country for these activities. 

The Caño Island Tour begins with a departure from Uvita at 7:00 am and arrives at Caño Island approximately 1 hour 20 min later. On the way, you might find dolphins, sea turtles, and whales (July-October, December-March). 

Upon arrival at Caño Island, you will have the opportunity to go snorkeling on 2 different spots from the boat, each session lasting about 45 minutes (subject to weather conditions). In the clear waters surrounding Caño Island, you can observe coral reefs, fish, and diverse marine wildlife. Then you will head back to Uvita, with an estimated arrival time around 2:00 pm.
